Star Alliance Upgrade Awards are available to the members of 16 frequent flyer programmes when they are travelling on 16 member carriers. More programmes and carriers are set to join in the coming months.

Booking is easy. Star Alliance Upgrade Awards are confirmed at the time of request, based on availability, with the miles being automatically deducted from your frequent flyer account. It means you can arrive at the airport relaxed and ready to enjoy the benefits of upgrading - from priority check-in, to lounge access and a more personal class of service onboard.

For information about the number of miles required and how to book your upgrade on an eligible member carrier, simply visit your frequent flyer programme's website or call their service centre. Please note that you must have a ticketed reservation before contacting your frequent flyer programme for a Star Alliance Upgrade Award. In addition, upgrades are subject to certain fare class and availability conditions with the participating programmes and carriers.
