We’re working hard to make your connecting travel as fast and smooth as possible. Our ‘Connections’ service works behind the scenes, tracks your flights and, if it’s late, makes arrangements in advance of your arrival to transfer you efficiently once you landed. With the various Move Under One Roof initiatives, we’re adapting airports so that they house all our member airlines in one terminal, under one roof. So far the waiting time in many airports has been cut more than half!

Star Alliance Connections Service

It only takes one delayed flight to throw your travel plans into chaos. Well you can rest assured that our 'Connections' service at key alliance hubs is working away behind the scenes.

With the help of special software, Star Alliance Connection Centres are solving problems by continually monitoring your in-bound and out-bound flights, and will take steps to minimize the effects of any delays in your journey. The arrival and departure times of your flights are monitored so that potential misconnections can be flagged.

If needed, at select airports a staff member meets the incoming aircraft and guides you through the terminal or to direct plane-to-plane bus transfers. This will eliminate your stress should for any reason your plane arrive late at the transfer airport. Rest assured in all our airports we are working on transferring your baggage, so that it travels with you at all times.

Move Under One Roof - Faster Transfer Times

The Star Alliance Move Under One Roof concept essential idea is to put you on the speed lane at the airports to make global connections much faster.

How?
Star Alliance member airlines are moved together in one terminal, transfer times are reduced and customers can take advantage of an improved customer check-in area, with Star Alliance Gold card holders being served at an exclusive area.

With Star Alliance member airlines co-located under one roof, the time it takes to get to your connecting flight is often cut in half.

Collocation has been implemented in alliance key hubs with many additional airports to follow over the next years.

Zonal Check-in
Most of you will also be able to take advantage of 'Zonal Check-in'¹ This unique system instantly recognises if you're flying Business or First Class and gives you automatic priority.

Better still, if you're a Star Alliance Gold member, you fly through the airport even quicker via your own check-in zone.
